Where to Shop in the Miami Design District

The Miami Design District has become synonymous with glamour and luxury. The neighborhood is a Miami shopping mainstay similar in status to world-renowned retail areas like Beverly Hills’ Rodeo Drive, the Champs-Élysées in Paris, or NYC’s Fifth Avenue. Once a neglected part of the city, this high-end haunt is now a true diamond in the rough. Developed by Craig Robbins, the Miami Design District boasts some of the most sought-after stores in town, from Hermès and Christian Louboutin, to Cartier, Marni, Céline and even Dior Homme. So next time you’re in the mood for a fabulous shopping spree, head to this posh pocket of Miami and peek your head into the shops below.

Louis Vuitton

Coming to Miami straight from Paris, this particular Louis Vuitton haunt is likely more extravagant than the designer himself could have ever imagined. Standing four stories high, and filled with Art Deco influences like citrus-colored hues, photography from NASA, limestone columns, and print wall coverings clad with palms, everywhere you turn, this architectural gem is a direct nod to Florida. Making it extra special, in addition to its signature LV-clad fashion, handbags and accessories, this particular boutique even has a few Louis Vuitton products that can’t be found in any one of the brand’s other storefront locations. 140 NE 39 Street, Miami, FL, 33137

Harry Winston

Spread over two floors, with 7,100+ square-feet of retail space, this Harry Winston location is as awe-inspiring on the outside as its diamonds are on the inside. Designed after its famous 5th Avenue location, this Miami outpost of the world-renowned diamond boutique is adorned in soft shades and bronze jewelry cases, providing the ultimate backdrop for its glamorous jewels to really shine. With a history that goes as far back as 1932, the Harry Winston brand can now add its dazzling Design District location to an extensive list of boutiques all over the world, including: New York, London, Paris, Geneva, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Shanghai. 161 NE 40th Street, Suite 104, Miami, FL 33137

Zadig & Voltaire

Popular for its chic, edgy clothing and accessories for men and women alike, the French fashion label Zadig & Voltaire can also be found in this posh Magic City neighborhood. With a striking modern architecture that’s as impressive as the line itself, the store’s industrial-style building centers around an eye-catching LED light fixture designed by the brand’s founder, Thierry Giller, with steel, concrete and white lacquer elements complementing it throughout. On its shelves and clothing racks, fans of the brand will find Zadig & Voltaire’s signature basic, luxury fashions with a rock n’ roll flair, a decidedly stylish and timeless collection made of signature cashmere, silk and leather pieces in contemporary, must-have cuts. 102 NE 40th Street, Miami, FL 33137.

Hublot

Popular in Miami and across the globe alike for its luxury art- and jewel-infused timepieces, the Swiss watch brand, Hublot, was founded in 1980 by Italian designer, Carlo Crocco. Well known for their intricate design, Hublot watches boast classic faces in a porthole shape, timeless combinations of brushed and polished gold, and of course, its signature band – one that’s made of a special rubber that conforms to any wearer’s wrist. Located in the heart of Palm Court, the Design District’s Hublot Galerie was the first Hublot boutique in the world to carry the brand’s most high-end, limited-edition line, and is also the hub of the first-ever Hublot Galerie Collector’s Club: a place where luxury timepiece collectors and aficionados alike can come together and experience Hublot’s most prized collections and rare additions. 140 NE 39th Street, Suite 103, Miami, FL 33137

Céline

A powerhouse luxury brand since its inception in 1945, Céline boasts a Miami Design District storefront that marks only its third in the United States, following boutiques in New York and Beverly Hills. Led by creative director Phoebe Philo, this French luxury clothing and accessories label is popular, first, for its cult handbags, especially its Luggage Tote and Trapeze and Trio bags, and second for its women’s runway and ready-to-wear lines, jewels and shoes. As any fashionista knows, a Céline bag is a luxury fashion house staple, elevating any outfit with its clean, simple lines, modern look, pristine leather construction, and minimalist details that still magically manage to draw your eye. 191 NE 40th Street, Space 101, Miami, FL 33137
