Sitting right on Brickell Avenue, the W Miami is one of the Magic City’s hottest places to wine, dine, pamper and play. It’s 15th-floor restaurant, 15th and Vine Kitchen and Bar, boasts killer Biscayne Bay views, a romantic ambiance, an impressive wine list and a contemporary twist on seasonal American fare: like potato gnocchi, olive-oil poached swordfish and braised short rib with Swiss chard, polenta and pancetta.
Four Seasons Hotel Miami
Four Seasons Hotel Miami requires no introduction – and neither does its acclaimed restaurant, Edge, Steak & Bar. Led by Executive Chef Aaron Brooks, it boasts a lush rooftop terrace, farm-to-table cuisine, out-of-the-box cuts of meat, a popular happy hour, and delectable dishes made with organic spices and herbs from the restaurant’s very own garden.
Shelborne Wyndham Grand
Aside from its “see-and-be-seen” South Beach pool, the Shelborne Wyndham Grand has out-of-the-box bars and restaurants led by some of the nation’s top chefs. In the lobby, cocktail enthusiasts will enjoy a “prescription” from The Drawing Room, an apothecary bar that’s the brainchild of NYC’s famed Albert Trummer. Similarly, renowned chef duo Jeff McInnis and Janine Booth – co-owners of Root & Bone in NYC – recently launched The Sarsaparilla Club. Sitting poolside, it has a street side vintage VW bus that welcomes diners to a whimsical and cozy indoor-outdoor patio restaurant, with a menu of American comfort food-meets-Cantonese Dim Sum cuisine.
Fontainebleau Miami Beach
One of Miami’s most iconic hotels, the Fontainebleau Miami Beach is known for its fabulous pool, beautiful people watching, air of glamour and world-renowned restaurants. Head to Michael Mina 74 for a haute twist on an American bistro, to Stripsteak by Michael Mina for classic American steaks, to Hakkasan for swank, Cantonese cuisine and Scarpetta for Scott Conant’s Italian cuisine and fancy vibes. Located right on Ocean Drive, this trendy Art Deco hotel gives people more than beach views and a place to lay their head. Joining Ocean Drive’s endless row of street side cafés is the Hotel Victor's Sugar Factory American Brasserie, an elaborate eatery and candy shop that guarantees to curb your sweet tooth. From alcohol-infused smoking candy goblets, like the “Berry Bliss” cocktail, to an extensive waffle menu, savory crepes, burgers and pizzas, its menu is as long as it is sugary. Of course, the crème de la crème are its celebrity-endorsed candy and extravagant desserts – like the famous King Kong Sundae. It serves 12 people, is topped with giant swirly pops, and has 24 scoops of ice cream, sprinkles, caramel sauce, fudge sauce, strawberry sauce, marshmallows, Reese's Pieces, chocolate chip cookies, crushed waffle cones, gummy bears, white chocolate strawberry shavings, sliced bananas, toasted walnuts and whipped cream.
SLS South Beach
James Beard Award-winning chef José Andrés is known across the globe for his unbelievably delicious ingredient-driven restaurants – and his SLS South Beach mainstay, The Bazaar by José Andrés, is certainly no exception. Equal parts theatrical and trendy, The Bazaar is a Spanish-Eclectic-style resto-lounge with a menu of strange and wonderful specialties: like foie gras pb & j, frozen blue cheese sandwiches, dragon fruit ceviche, Cuban coffee-rubbed churrasco, King Crab and raspberries, and more.
